Been hunting a construction site the last few days in Savannah where both colonial and civil war stuff has been dug. The site has been pounded, but will be like a new site once more dirt has been moved. Was able to save a few interesting things with my XP Deus HF round coil.

Nice!!! What is the 2nd pic and last pic items?

Neat finds , do you think the Iron marble looking ball is Colonial ?
If so what would it be from ? & would there be a case where a smaller Iron say .36 cal ball would be attached to the larger ball?

There is method to my madness (as in my question ) , so thanks & Merry Christmas.

Luv it ! Great photos too.

I believe it is a brass ball button missing the base and shank. Yes, colonial.

Well the Ball Button is even better , I recently got some Relics from Savannah & included was the Est, .69 ish Iron Round ball with a est .36 Iron ball connected or stuck to it . I was wondering just what the use of these were , ( mixed sizes of Iron Shot ?) or just junk.
Thanks for your quick reply & that P J really brings out the designs & wording on your relics.
Good Silent Night.

Damn dude some beauty watch winders! I’d hunt the hell out if that dirt. Good luck

Couple killer watch wonders. Congrats!

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :occasion14:

Congratulations on those amazing finds.

I moved a few months ago to coastal Georgia and am using an XP DEUS like yourself.

Unlike yourself however, I am a complete novice (read hack) and know just enough to be dangerous.

Could you recommend any metal detecting clubs or groups between Savannah and Brunswick?

We have a MD club here in Savannah called Coastal Empire History Hunters Association and meet every third Thursday of the month starting in January. Go to the facebook page to get more info.
