copper thing

copper,heavy patina, 1/4" thick, turns in on itself. Could be compared to a locking washer. inside is not threaded, but does appear to have grooves/channels. Like a crude locking device? thanks for looking, jobrian

How sure are you it's copper? Sure doesn't look like it from the photos.

@cudamark, it chimes in at a solid 79-80 on the AT Pro, if you look at the last pic, the close up of the inside. You can see a little bit of what looks like copper.

I'd run a small file on one of the exposed edges to be sure. It should look like a new penny inside if it's truly copper. With something that big and chunky, there are other metals that will read that too.
