In the early 1800's there was alot of flint being mined for muskets.
Its probably associated with that.

That piece is slag glass so I was asking if it was possible a Mississippian time period indian was around to use the slag

You are probably right it was probably there from just being a mile from the furnace

Photo #1 looks like two hafted end scrapers or cutting tools.
#3 has a nice scraper.
#4 the multiple sided square is definitely a core.
You sure do find alot of knapped stone.
Ha.. the last one is a Dang nice wide glide core.

Agree with that Gator! That wideglide looks like a scraper as well. Maybe a road rasher is better wording. Nice ride bro!

I thought posting it as a core was funny thanks guys !!! I like the terms of road rasher or scraper from the dyna time period around 2000 AD

my favorite cores heat treated.

Those look like reduction flakes racer and the one on the left might be a flake tool if it has secondary flaking on the edges.

This kinda a strange core/blank. It is a pinkish quartz with some of the rind on. I am about 60 miles from the quartz/gold belt so I do not find it that often but have found a few fine pieces. My guess is they tested it and chunked it in favor of local materials. I would love to find the source cause around here it means gold.
Lets see that bike Painter.

That's some nice root beer colored translucent material.
That bluish white film is patina.

WOW! Now thats a nice ride.

Thanks I did all the work myself makes it more sentimental hsha

@ south tex, the best thing for you to do is group all the like items together then take a pic of all of them in outside light maybe on your back porch so we can see the work and flaking marks better. Post one group at a time in different threads and then as they are given a I.D. label them. I use shoe boxes at times to put the like items in. I do see some hand held choppers in your pics.
