2020.12.27 Found this in SE Florida: Could this be a high caliber bullet from one of the Seminole Wars during the early 1800s? Next question, what is the best way to clean this? Today was my first day out with my Minelab Equinox 800. I am glad it disassembles and I can fit it a backpack. I hiked about a mile in some woods, found a clearing, ignored the rain, and had fun finding this a few other things.

Not a bullet. What is it made from?? Bullets are lead which usually has a white patina after being in the ground for a long time.

I think I figured out what this is. It is not a bullet, but rather a screw with a nut at the end, and two washers in between. The four objects I found, all seem to be related to farm equipment.
