Crazy yard sale luck!!!! Omg!!

[wetfly]

So ,wife came home an hour ago from hitting the local Sunday yard sales in key west with what I think is mostly, well crap lol!! Inside a huge granny type purse she bought , hides this tiny leather change purse stuffed with something and taped shut with electrical tape to keep it from opening as it wouldn't shut!! Weird assortment of valuable and neat items...... 1893 Columbus commemorative half dollar, ( looks as if cleaned at some point? Awfully shiny) 1962 Franklin half,
1980 Susan B Anthony dollar, two merc dimes '42 and '45, a chunk of what looks like maybe iron pyrite ? A large animal tooth, a maybe pewter gargoyle bell, and several pretty old foreign coins of various denominations!!! I have never seen a coin the size and weight of this cool 1843 Russian 3 kopeck!! A 2 and 1/2 centavo tiny coin from 1881, 2 -deutsches reich 10 coins from 1906 and 1917, a half kopeck 1898, a one kopeck 1913 and lastly lol a weird silver colored coinlike piece that reads recuerdo matrimonial??
Oh wait one more very worn copper possibly Spanish coin from 1879 that I haven seen before or looked up as of yet !! I'll try and put the pics in the same order as we're described!! Holy f ing shite man I will never ever ***** at my wife for buying what I thought was "junk" lol. Wow thanks babe!!! I'm basically a virgin in the coin collecting
World so any help on value or just cool facts would be greatly appreciated and enjoyed!!
Sincerely ,
Ecstatic in key west!

Anyone else have one of these christopher columbus commemorative coins?? I quickly looked it up on Internet to find an average value of around 20$ ? I would have thought three times that and would have probably paid about 100$ for one blindly lol! Coin values are difficult for me to understand, I guess each is worth really what someone is willing to pay to have it!

[mamabear]

wetfly, here's a little history on your Columbian Exposition half dollar.... 1892-1893 Columbian Exposition Half Dollar | CoinWeek

Wow, that's awesome! JUst curious though...what did she pay for the purse? Congrats

[dfxdude]

Several of the Columbian Exposition 1892-93 coins on Ebay ranging in price from $4.00 up to $45.00. Around $20 is average price. Depends on the condition. I've got one I got from late uncle's estate. Don't know where he got it.

[wetfly]

12 bucks for the purse!! Lol

[got2dig]

I just got a Susan B Anthony dollar back in my change this week from Subway in place of a quarter. Thanks for the 75 cent discount...
Just from the wide variety of strange things I would have to say that this was a purse given to a child along with some strange coins from a grandpa or something. Kid grew up and forgot her stash and sold the purse. When I'm garage saleing I may have to start going through the purses...
