The small dogs I raise require forced hydration, water or piedialyte.(sp.?) if its been over several hours, 24 hrs without = dead dog.Yours much bigger not as scary an issue but hydration as you know....
Care required not to get fluid in their lungs forcing it when required,part of having a vet help to learn how if required. They will have i.v.s ohh wait you know all that stuff being a medic. Upset makes me ramble.
Sorry bud, don,t want to come across as a jerk. Yeah critters miss their buds when they leave. I add a little special to small amount of regular food after dog has enough fluid to digest,or in extreme cases feed small pieces of raw meat, (like a boned chicken thigh)it being mostly water it won,t rob as much to digest and gets some moisture in them.Dog should be snacking by now if offered with a light kind word?

About -24* this morning, my old Dodge diesel is the only diesel pickup that made it all the way to work this morning. The chevys and fords both came up short! Lol!

Absolutely! I miss the warm days on the beach for sure! That picture got my good side lol! 50's at night would be a dream come true, I need to get back down to Florida soon!!

G.I.B., Here is a picture of the old Dodge. It's a 1994 with a cummins diesel and a five speed stick. It has about 405,000 miles on her. Gotta love the Cummins diesels! In the summer it gets 21-23 mpg. This summer it is going to become a quad cab short bed. My son is getting to big to sit in the middle and still shift...
