They look pretty good now!

It appears that next week is the end of the semester.
I've 2 Finals.
The Math Final is comprehensive....

I'll spend this weekend going over my ruck and gear.....
I've already re-sharpened my knives and custom made machete.

I've told my locksmith Friend that I'll be unavailable for about a week
and told my Landlord, too.
I got half a dozen used Gatorade bottles of water freezing in his freezer.
Don't have to buy ice and when thawed, the water will probably make my coffee one morning soon.

My "After Spring Semester Camping Trip," and in a month, my
"Birthday Camping Trip."

Scott, I guess spring is really here. I just hauled in two pickup loads of sand (all hand shoveled) into the property and we are using the Kubota to move it around back for my son's above ground pool. My back is killing me now! I can't wait to get back to our house in Florida and use that pool though...

I remember Lonnie Donegan made Rock Island Line 'famous' in 1955, before J. Cash did his version in '57.
Of course, the song dates back to at least the 30s.

Lankford, Jr. Although "Rock Island Line" is a prime example of traditional American folk music anonymously authored, the song was first associated with one of the key folk singers of the '30s and '40s, Leadbelly. Leadbelly had picked up the song at Cummins State Farm in Gould, Arkansas while traveling with song hunter John Lomax in October of 1934. The title referred to a Southern railroad line that extended to New Orleans, though the lyric -- save the chorus -- had little to do with the railroads. Instead, "Rock Island Line" includes a number of short, independent verses that are self-contained ("Moses stood on the Red Sea shore/Smotin' the water with a two-by-four"). The chorus, on the other hand, primarily conveys that the Rock Island line is "a mighty good line."
