Those are great Bill! That big ruby one and the indian head are my two favorites, just from glancing through it.
what's that Indian Head with the stars around it? Real cool man!

The ring is 14k about 10 grams or so and the ruby is synthetic but still a stunner of a ring.....the Indian Head pendant is one of my favorites....it's hollow and has a small hole top and bottom.

Given the irregular shape I'd say hand made and possibly from a native headdress.... the site used to be a fairground and since there's a native reserve across the river from me they may have put on displays way back when.....just an educated guess on my part.....I've never seen a similar one posted anywhere so certainly not a common find.

I found the gun or should I say half gun several years back....the handle is cut back so it was what was called a Saturday night special back in the day say 1920's/1950's era....that way it could be tucked into your pants out of public view.

How deep was it? Was it near a tree or some other landmark?

It's ok I had it dusted for prints and yours weren't on it....lol....

It was actually an oddball site.....it's from a green space that's about an acre in size and is atop the municipal water storage tank.....this was installed about 1940 or so and the soil was brought in from elsewhere so who knows where or when that gun was from.
