mmmmmmm Pot Pie....

Scott, want me to FedEx you a pie?

Play them blues and on through another day Scott. You ain,t done yet or alone as you think.

All this talk about Scott's mountains and maps and compass reminds me of a story. My uncle served with Special Forces. I think he did 4 tours of Vietnam. God bless him and all others who served there too. Anyway when I was a young pup he came by and visited us. Of course I was full of questions. He began to tell me about these people referred to as "yards" over there. That was a short term the Army used for these ferocious mountain people called montanyards. My uncle said he laid out his map, placed a compass on the map and said" Now we are going to orient our maps to our compass with North at the top." He looked around the group and in broken English a yard said " what is north?".......... Uh huh so what would your next line be? We still laugh at this story together today.

North=cold would have been my answer lol

Finally figured it out....

Find me.
Find the Instructor.

Best,

Opposite front and rear of room?

You are either at the back of the class wearing the dark glasses, or facing the picture you are on the far left . The instructor is the bald guy on the right side wearing a white shirt close to the pretty girls........ How close am I ?

Let's see if I can post a bigger pic.....

-------------

Anyway....

Last Final was this morning.
Math...
I might have passed...
--------------------

Found out my Course grade in Geology.
A "C."

Just about what I expected.
--------------

Got home, and remembered that I have to sharpen the mower blade before I mow. :BangHead:

Just finished mowing and now have weed-eating and blowing left.

But guess what?

I've got to go get weed whackin' string!

Sheesh.

At least I got plenty of 2-stroke fuel on hand...

I think I'll just chill this evening when I finish my chores and head out in the morning.

Opportunity to re-pack just one more time....
--------------------------

I hadn't checked the weather forecast until this morning,
But it appears there may be thunderstorms over the weekend in my Mountains.....

Bring it!

I've seen that movie before.

Ain't no cryin' in the rain....

"Tiger Maple" face Gibson guitar?
Dual Humbucker pick-ups?
Yes, I've owned and played a Gibson. Live. On stage.....
Lost it to the "broker" during my last marriage....sniffle....
or shall we be bold enough to say, "STOLEN?" Pawned without my permission. Is that "stolen?"
A story that I'd rather not share.....

AND!
THE. BEST. DRUM. SOLO. EVER!
-------------

Right now,
It's more like this....

(If I'm not mistaken, I've read that this scene was done in only one take.)

Now I can start fretting about this Fall Semester's classes.....
Which, Ironically, one is "Intro To Weather."
Worries including loss of Honors and possible Scholarships, cost of books, supplies,
etc.
And word amongst college students is that prices of ramen are going up....
"Word?"
"Dig!"

But,
I'm not gonna let it bother me tonight.

(From the album, "Champagne Jam")
---------------------

Well, I'm off,
(hold your snickering, please)
in search of weed whacker string to finish my chores.

My Best Wishes Always,

Scott

You found me, but the instructor is female....

I had my hair in a pony tail using 6-8 hair bands.
But, I have it over my left shoulder....

Best,

Scott

One more "rain" song from an album in my collection....

Having packed and re-packed my ruck,
How many times?,
You can bet I'm ready for the rain....

(I've seen them in concert 3-4 times. Always a great performance!)

Ready for the rain.
Camping and my whole life.....
Seldom do I catch a break......

"Always prepare for the worse and savor the better."
----------------

Now then,
Home Depot is the next location that I'm heading....
.105 weed whackin' string.....

Best,

Scott

Yes!

My chores are now finished!

I'm a "Free Bird!"

This song will always remind me of my Friend and Fellow Vet, Ron.

You are always with me, Brother....

And all of my "Wolf Pack" Brothers and Sisters.
And my Special Friend, 2GF.
From: Sierra Delta Kilo Full load. Let it rain. Say again, LET IT RAIN!
-----------------

I'm glad that I decided to wait until the morning....
can't rush old people, don't ya know.....

It took longer to get to the Home Depot, find the closest item, (story about THAT later)
and get home than it took to eat some weeds......

Such is life....
Always look for the silver lining....

So,

What shall be my adventure meals?

Surely NOT ramen!

Simple, lightweight and chocked full of vitamins and ministers.....

This is pretty close to blackberry season, bears love blackberries, I know where blackberry patches are,
ergo,

Let's hike and camp near blackberry patches.
Yeah! I like that itinerary!

Maybe have a chance to see/wrestle/fist-fight a bear!
Why, Yes.
Yes I do have pent anger, coiled tightly like a spring, in a box, waiting to be released. Among other emotions

Trivia: Rosey Grier also played for the Los Angeles Rams in the 60's.

He also tackled Sirhan Bishara Sirhan on the evening of June 5, 1968, the "accused" assassin of Robert Kennedy.
On the eve of my birthday.
Bobby died the next day, on my Birthday.....

I'm related to Daniel Boone, on my Mom's side.
Something like his great(a few times) nephew.
Don't know for sure, but I do know that I love Nature and animals!

Barb,

I'm sorry if my posting has run afoul of your standards,
But,

NO ANIMAL WAS INJURED!

Get over yourself and enjoy some humor, OK?

Always,

My Best Wishes,

Scott

PS.

Or perhaps you are showing animosities towards me personally...

Let's talk this through, shall we?

Barb,

I cannot believe that you have come to hate me.....

A kitten in a box, as you say.
That is not a kitten; it is an adventurous juvenile.
Surely you have played with a cat and a laser pointer.

SHAME ON YOU!

Look,
I wish no ill feelings regarding animals,
but if you have a personal beef with me, I'd like to hear it.

Peace to you, Barb,

Scott

I have no beef with you..stop personalizing. .it is inappropriate to close any animal up in a box like that..it another to have the top open or an open hole..they don't like to be confined..that's a sadistic thing for someone to do..and as I said scarcely for the animal..

Barb,
My Friend,

I'll agree that there is a fine line that separates human enjoyment of animal escapades,
As any humanitarian as yourself and I will attest,
But I really don't think that I've ever carried it to abuse.
And God help anyone I think has/is.

Barb,

You will always have my respect and kindred love when it comes to animals.
I guess we wouldn't fuss like brother and sister if not.....

We are one for animals, right, Elly?

My Best,

Scott

PS.
Was it something I said about fist-fighting a bear over a blackberry patch?

Right! You can fight a bear over a berry patch anytime you want..I'd say good luck..lol!
