Was talking to my grandfather this morning and he was telling about a swimming hole where he use to swim as a kid. He told me where it was I secured permission, picked up my buddy doug, and we braved the 85 degree heat. Although this usually isnt the coin era that gets me excited, I just couldn't resist. We got there after a short walk, and started picking up wheat's right away, then I got the little copper ring. More wheat's then a silver signal, out pops a 29 merc. A few more steps and another silver signal, out pops the 39 merc. Then there was about a half hour silver dry spell for me, til I got the big silver sound I was hoping for a half but got the quarter, and wasn't expecting to dig a standing liberty but Finlay after 7 years there it was. Its worn but I can see a 0 for the last digit so I guess its a 1920 D, seeings how they didn't make a 30 D. Also dug a 1901 injun, was a hot fun day. My buddy made out good as well with a buff, alot of wheat's and 2 mercs and a 1940 washington quarter. Thanks for reading.
