CTH3 OFFICIAL SITE FOR THE HUNT.

Man, I never heard of anyone having so much trouble from just a tick bite. I have seen and heard of similar problems from spider bites but not ticks. I at first thought Evy might have had some kind of allergic reaction. Now a staph infection is something I know a lot about. I got a staph infection from the hospital where I had surgery. It settled in my lungs and almost killed me and caused a great deal of the health problems I have been having. Hospitals harbor staph infections that are extremely hard to cure. I was in bed six weeks with a catheter going directly into my heart pumping antibiotics into my system. I lost 56 lbs. in 3 weeks! I sure hope Evy gets better really soon! I never dreamed she was this bad off. Monty

What happened to the tick?Did it survive?

Seriously though evy, hope you get rid of that infection soon, darlin'.As Monty said,a staph infection is nothing to fool around with, stay in there as long as it takes. No sense in subjecting that toe to the Rowdy Bunch, besides,Steve would probably just step on it way down there.Let 'em do what they need to and we'll be a prayin' for ya.

Evy will need steeltoe boots to be safe from me! Evy, just be bored and let them get you well as this is serious! Me and WSD will carry you around in a chair so you don't have to walk! Right Daddy!!!

Steve ;D

A modest funeral was held for the tick yesterday as his relatives from California arrived. The family of ticks thanks everyone for not using Off during the ceremony! Film at eleven! :laughing7:

I'm watching you guys! Hope the weather is good! Evy, how in holy h*ll did you get a tick on your toe without realizing it? You gotta bathe more often, or at least wear some shoes!!! Dang, you country gals gotta be more careful! You guys check her out on the hunt, ok? Next thing we know, she'll be gittin' snake-bit! All's well here! Wish we could be there!!! But we'll be watching! -Noodle

Dear goodness...I am leaving day after tomorrow!! :o :hello2: Two more sleeps and I am ON MY WAY!! You guys packed and going too?? lol Just talked with Evy...she is loving all the phone calls and attention. Ragenna took her some books, magazines and even a coloring book and crayons....and some food. The grandkids have been up to visit again and brought her fresh pajamas and WC Fields is on the Turner movie channel. Best of all she is enjoying the phone calls so keep her company everyone! 1-580-363-9247 is the direct line into her hospital room there in Blackwell. I am off to womens retreat and will probably check in real late tonight on here again. Can't wait to see everyone!!

NEWS FLASH!! SOUTH AMERICAN TOE TICK INVADES OKLAHOMA!!

ICE has just announced an invasion of South American Toe Ticks (Tickleus yo footus senorita?). The ticks are being carried into Oklahoma by illegal aliens . They are reported to immediately detach from the aliens to find a better tasting host and for some reason they seem to prefer females. The tick carries a multitude of diseases including one known as Bigus Toeus, a disease thought to be extinct since the Romans ruled much of Europe. The vermin may have been carried to Mexico by wealthy Spanish entrepreneurs who are reported to have very large great toes resembling a thumb. The ticks are minuscule in size, often mistaken for a freckle. The first signs of the disease is pain to the toe followed by swelling of the entire foot and the urge to check into a hospital and talk on the phone a lot. The only known cure besides antibiotics is an until now secret folk remedy consisting of listening intently at the end of a pole held just above the ground and then digging small holes in the dirt. Modern science has not been able to figure out how this cure works but it seems to put the victim at ease and signs of the disease almost immediately are abated. The Office of the Surgeon General warns anyone living in northern Oklahoma not to go tip toeing through the tulips bare foot. More to follow at ten........ Hurry and get well Evy!! Monty

Our site is part of the older Chisholm Trail where the cowboys camped till the cattle, were pushed on North. We just recently found out that this was one of the many areas where the 1893 future homesteaders camped while waiting for the land run. Over 10,000 people passed this area. In 1905 a street ran by this area with a home on the corner. Now long gone, just the secrets that are left in the ground remain.
The hunt site is on private property. Please treat it as such. The gentleman who owns the property is very pleased to permit the hunt on his place. We feel sure that members will appreciate his courtesy and conduct themselves accordingly.

Is that still gonna happen, or are we all just callin' it quit's on Sunday? :icon_scratch:

I am home ! :hello2: I came in an started laundry now I got my foot up! On oral antibiotics and suposed to have my foot up! But. I got to pack and get stuff ready an oh I missed so much time in the hospital Thanks for all the good teasing an prayers it helped sooo much I can't wait to see you all!

I caint wear a shoe yet with the bandage would need a really big one over it! ;D

And I was in shin high grass helpin with the limbs they were cuttin out of the tree but, I did have tennis shoes an socks on :dontknow:
Wished I had kept the tick to show but, at 3am all i did was get rid of it! Won't do that again!

Well, now I can understand why I couldn't get an answer at the hospital.Obviously they haven't put anyone else in your room yet because everytime I tried calling,no one answered.Glad you are home and don't try to do too much.Soak that toe in some 90 proof and it'll get ok.

That is the best idea ! How much can I take internally though ?

Welcome home MG, have been following your progress and am pleased all is going well. Not a good idea to take a drink while you are on antibiotics,as much as you probably feel like one. :nono: Take care, and I hope you have good trip.

regards U.
