cut spanish silver

dug today in Virginia. this came out of an early 19th century trash pit. i was detecting a pile of spoils that came out of the pit, which i have been slowly sifting and combing through, today when i pulled this. totally surprised me and my oldest coin by far. it appears to be a king philip v 2 reale, cut into an eighth.

I found 2 or three cobs that were deliberately cut to 1/4 reale size. My mass silver was cut to that size too

I have some cut to that size as well. But it is not the norm. I have quarter cuts from one reals, and a half real cut in half.
