Went to a lot that was directly across the street from a lot that a friend of mine had detected 2 tims in the past 6 months where we found wheaties and mercs along with the basic clad and relics.
At this new lot I got a 1962 Roosevelt dime and a 1951 wheatie amd a 1920 s buffalo nickel.
What was terribly disappointing about this day was another detecting buddy showed up and detected for a few minutes with us and then went back across the street to hunt the property that my friend and I had previously detected. Within 30 minutes he walks across the street (well it seemed like he was floating with glee with a @#$# eating grin on his face. I knew at that moment he picked up something real nice that we had missed. He put it in my hand, and just by the size I knew it was a goodie. 1901 s Barber half....oh the misery.
Anyway, went to another lot and got this 1924 s merc dime.

Sorry I only have the reverse side of the coin pics. Deleted the obverse side and since it took 2 weeks before I could get the wife to even take these I wasn't going to bother her to do the obverse again.

I would consider that an excellent day!!! I'm still looking for my first buffalo.

I think from the looks of that bottom key, someone hasn't picked up their mail in a while LOL
nice buff, looks pretty clean

For the Buff, I scrubbed it with toothpaste and then baking soda and water and then let sit in vinegar. While it took the crud off it also leached some of the copper out. It looks terrible as far as the color but I did get the detail to show.
Everything else is shown after tumbling
