Detecting at Cape Cod

I went to Massachusett's Cape Cod last week to find that most of the big beaches were only open 9AM -9PM and pay parking. Is this common along the Cape? This was frustrating, as I rolled in late one night and then rose early the next morning to find a beach to hunt, just to meet the bars across the parking lots and times of use. I hit 4 beaches that morning and the only one without the blocked parking lot, required a parking permit.

Maybe it is common and I have to expect it and detect while others are scattered out on the beach? The Cape is to big to drive to every beach, so any input would be great. Do I have to work with the time frames and paid parking or is there other options? Thanks -D

Is it the beach that is open from 9 to 9 or just the parking lot. Maybe you could have someone drop you off early in the morning and come get you after parking opens.

We have a lot of beach parks that are only open from sunrise to sunset, but as long as you do not have a car parked there, its not a problem. we also have a lot that are pay to park, starting with as little as $5 for the day up to $2 per hour. Again at that beach that is $2 per hour I just have my wife drop me off and I call her when I am ready to leave.

Just some thoughts.

If there is a way to rake in more money the authorities will find it. Being dropped off and picked up is the best way to not get your car broken into while you are on the beach enjoying the hunt.
