Been a little while since I've been around. Got moved to the night shift at work and that has really hindered my prospecting and I've been on vacation the last couple of weeks. Well yesterday I got an email from Discovery Channel about when the teaser/trailers will be airing for the show I will be on called "Devils Canyon". First one is on May 17th during the airing of "The Last Alaskans". I am nervous like you wouldnt believe. It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. 6 weeks completely alone in the British Columbia bush, surviving and mining gold. No film crew, just me, filming myself the entire time. You get me, in the raw struggling like I have never done before.

But how did "The Goose" react............(you should have seen the people in the park......LOL!)

If they had a pulse they'd surely have an Independence Day show. Nothing portrays America better than us gold prospectors.

#truefact. Us prospectors are about our freedoms and those freedoms are what made our country what it is.

...and a tv show is about makiing money by selling ads. No one is watching tv on the National Independence Day holiday so you are stuck with low budget tv and reruns. Sorry, that's business for you folks.

Check the T.V. schedules , If I'm not mistaken the show has been shifted to another night . I thought it was for tonight BUT this is what happens when I try to "think" BEFORE my 2nd cup of coffee in the morning!:dontknow:

They are just re running stuff. It goes back to regular schedule on Tuesday.

Kevin, respectfully, that's in-American! I said " if they had a pulse..."

Sadly, they don't and you are right. If they did ...

I've started a go fund me to help Goose keep his britches on for the remainder of the show.

LOL! I can assure you it wont happen again.

I thought last nights episode and the preview for next episode were great. Good to see mining progress and success surviving the tough conditions.

Righteous gold, lots of danger and the trials and tribulations tough. Yep that's mining-kudos as a great episode. Respect-John

great show but so heavy on the survival part, would like to see more prospecting next season. Survival shows are a dime a dozen, a one man operation looking for gold not so common on tv. Why on the first day is someone trying to make a fire with magnesium and steel rather then matches and I believe the guy wasn't successful at making one. I would imagine it's pretty hard out there, why make it harder ?

Boyce I've been trying to get a hold of the producers and it seems to be a total circus at the office. If they are going to do a season two can you please pm me a name and number. They have my info I just want to let them know I'm still interested.

Finally had a chance to watch the last episode. Looking good! Man that is a nice nugget! Good job goose. Noticed that you hiked in your hogpan. Was pretty surprised, considering the weight of it. I have one, great tool. Built to last, but on the heavy side. Looking forward to seeing the next episode!

Thank you. After you pulled that nugget my girlfriend told me to go mining saturday..aaaand her and the kids actually watched a gold show with me!

While I was able to watch episodes 1 & 2 online, they now have me locked out and I can't watch episode 3 even after episode 4 aired. Oh well, maybe they didn't like my comments in my previous post!

Good show.

A little less of the skinning deer and building shelters would be nice.

Get enough of that on the myriad of other survival shows we all watch.

Just show going for the GOLD!!!

Right... The old guy was getting like 2 gram per pan and he's all welp.. that's enough for today. LOL no! you dig like a mad man till you roll over and die!

Boyce on that gravel bar. If that test pan was really one pan, he's going to kill it with that highbanker.

why didn't anyone bring a nozzle? Would have been worth packing in for a 6 week dig... not allowed?

I know what you mean! When I am finding good Gold and it starts getting late, everybody wants to pack it in and leave. Me, I say hell no and to turn on the truck lights so I can keep on digging.
