Did some walking today

The site i wanted to go to today was being fertilized so I turned my attention to
the field next door. It was corn stuble but it had some clear, windswept areas.

I found a broken Adena.

I also found a few blades and preforms. The small blade is very pretty pipe creek.

great hunt unitas, those 4 similar preforms look like they could have been a cache or a part of one, were they found close together? The pipe creek blade is sweet, love that material. thanks for sharing

Thanks, that little blade was Pipe Creek flint. The photos don't really do it justice.
It's one of the prettiest pieces of flint I've ever found.(Wish it was a huge blade!)

Thanks, They were found within about a hundred yards of one another,but still quite spread out. I don't believe them to be a cache as I've found many similiar preforms throughout
the fields next to this one. There is a chance however that they were together at one point.
I'm still waiting to find a nice stack together!

Thanks, I was happy.Sometimes it can be frustrating because I get arrowheads on the brain and want to walk till I find a notched point.It took awhile for me to realize a preform or scraper are great finds in their own right. Besides it is a heck of a lot more fun than coming home empty handed.I was thrilled with my preforms!

You have more patience than me. I cant stand looking in the corn stubble, too much for my eye's to focus on. You did real good!
