BTW Since Keppy brought up that other show I just wanted to add that I did not think I could dislike a show as much as the Ric Savage's 'American Diggers' until I saw Ric Savage's 'Savage Family Diggers'. Talk about taking an aweful show and making it worse. I wonder if the other guys that were on the show decided to distance themselves from that crap'o'la. Anyone know the story behind that show? I don't have any contacts with that show or network but would love to hear the inside story.

Well, now you have piqued my interest. I may have to DVR an episode just to see how bad it has gotten. I would have agreed with you that I didn't think it could have gotten worse.

Me and my wife thought the same thing.. We decided to set the DVR up to record an episode...Once was enough for us but that's just my opinion.. Diggers is'nt to bad but Savage family diggers those people are wierd and annoying.. His wife looks like she could beat him down if she wanted to she's just scary in my opinion and his kids don't seem all that bright.. But like I said judge for yourself...

next week the "Diggers" do Gettysburg.
have to wait to see if NatGeo got them on the battlefield,
or just farms in the General area

With the price that they were getting for 30-06 brass after detecting this area they should be able to retire and buy an island with the prices they are selling stuff for.....

Any area Not Owned by the Park service is Private property.

Many Moons ago a Girl Friend wanted me to take her to Gettysburg
to camp for a weekend. although we never actually got there,
she was too new of a girlfriend, and would have detector blocked my time.
I called around though and most of the camp sites surrounding Gettysburg allowed metal detecting.

Of course I'm sure you needed to at least rent tent space.

Jeff, that's a long running joke with team ATC, in one of the dvd's a few years back, kg and rm went to the outer banks and detected. They found mostly new stuff but made jokes every time they dug up a pul tab or other newer item it always belonged to black beard.

Yes The battle could have happened over the whole county & surrounding counties.
But if you or anyone suggests it should all be held sacred, & Not detected,
I'd disagree, unless you or they could produce a deed that covers it all

They never said they sold anything...most all of it is being turned over to the land owners, thats why they are being allowed to hunt such great places. They are working with archeologists at most sites. Very positive show for the hobby of detecting. A lot of people want to keep this hobby a secret so they are not going to like any show that exposes their hobby and gets more people trying it.

The price of the 3006 shells was to include the historical significance of the items. I'd pay 12 bucks for a shell from a specific battle.

I've been watching Diggers lately and I've got to admit that I've started to warm up to it. I enjoy the show now. (The terms still drive me crazy.)
