All of my half dollar veins are tapped out! I still pick up whatever loose and CWRs that I can find. I am finding 3-4 40%ers a month.

My new goal is 2-3 dime boxes a day, 6 days a week. Hopefully I will find 15-20 silver dimes a week.

So far:
Sunday
Box #1 - 2 FDRs
Box #2 - 3 FDRs
Monday
Box #1 skunk
Box #2 1 FDR
Tuesday
Box #1 4 FDRs and 1x1968 Canadian (50% Ag)
Box #2 1 FDR
Box #3 1 Merc (1944)
Wed
Box #1 skunk
Box #2 skunk
Thurs
Box #1 shunk
Box #2 2 FDRs
Box #3 shunk

Totals: 14 US silver dimes and one 50% Canadian dime

Just from a quick look at some of your recent posts, it looks like you average about 2 silver dimes per box. That's great! A lot of us who do halves only average 1 40% per box, which is about the same silverwise. If I had your dime box numbers, I'd be doing more dimes too! Do you have a good dumping system? How many dimes did you find last year? Congrats on your niche.

He is doing better than that. a box of halves is $500 and dimes are $250. it is like averaging 2 40%ers per $500.

My average is 1.5 silver dimes per box

Looks like you're having a lot of success with the CWR's. I asked a few banks if they had any CWR's and they didn't know what I was talking about. One teller tried to sell me the Coin Wrappers. I might have to hit up some CU's tomorrow.

I mostly do boxes, but there are a few banks that I go to that get alot of CWR in. They are happy to sell to me to avoid paying a fee to ship them off. Be honest, speak to the vault teller, "I am a collector and I am looking for bank branches that get a lot of coin in and have to send it off to the vault." Set up a regular time to come in a buy all the coin they want to get rid of.

I have accounts at credit unions and certain banks that have free coin counters. That is were I dump.

Monday

Loomis Box #1: skunk
Loomis Box #2: 1964

Tuesday
Dimes
Loomis Box #1: Canadian 1960 (80% Ag)
Loomis Box #2: 1953D, 1958, 1962D

The steady grind goes on.
HH!

I was doing fine searching dimes until a month ago. The last 16 boxes gave up nothing

This week

9 US and 2 Can (80%)
0.77 oz for $1.10

Tuesday
Nickels $50: Buff (no date)
String Dimes Box: All uncirculated 2012 dimes. What's your take on this? I saw they were going for a slight mark up on eBay. I just didn't fool with it and dumped the whole box without opening the rolls.

Friday
Nickels $50: skunk
Brinks Clear Roll Dimes Box: 1964

I had got a few roll of by 2012 I pulled a few and put them in 2x2s. I don't think the premium is enough to try and ebay them.

The US mint made 1.6 BILLION dimes in 2012 (from www.usmint.gov), they are very common.
Anyone can put nearly anything up for sale for whatever price they want. Only a fool would pay a premium for a coin that you can get for face at a bank

Went to a bank and a credit union yesterday. At the bank, I got a box full of CWR which I have yet to look through. At the credit union, they would only give me $20 in dimes and $4 in nickels. I wasn't expecting anything, but I was definitely wrong. Out of the dimes, I got a 53D in one roll and an extra $.60 in another. Out of the nickels, I got 1 pre 60 and 1 war nickel. From what I can tell the war nickel is a 44P but it's really worn so I'm not 100% sure. I wish I could always pull a silver every $20 in dimes and $4 in nickels!
