Dirt Fishin' at the Creek !!

Went out with my brother and his family this morning to a creek in our area. There's a few small beach areas where the kids hang out. We didn't find much of anything in the 2 hours we were there. No clad what so ever. My brother found two trinket rings in this area last week, but nothing much today. My first find was a lure, so I thought there might be some things here to find. It turns out there were nothing but cans, lots of cans.
Billy (the brother) had the same luck. Although he did find a bow and arrow that he was reluctant to pose with. :D

I was so traumatized about not finding ANY clad, I stopped by an elementry school and found 2 quarters and a sweet plastic (glow in the dark) spider ring. Yep, my detector has a "plastics" mode. ;)

Happy dirt fishin',
Ima ;)

I seriously wonder if your detector was able to handle the beach? maybe it was not able to handle the sand? I would think there had to be something there clad wise??? Unless others are hunting it???

Re: Dirt Fishin' at the Creek !!

Yeah, I wondered that myself (hunted already).
I'm using a Titan 2000, and my brother uses an Ace 250 and we were digging stuff up at 8 to 10 inches (junk). I'm leaning more towards "hunted before" or just not enough traffic through that area.
There are other areas of that creek that get more traffic, but the water level was too high this week to get to it.

How deep does your detector go in the plastic mode? Mine only goes about 3 inches.
