My avatar is a picture of a towboat that I used to operate, the M/V Arrowhead. 142 feet long, 35 feet wide and 4200 horsepower. Used to push 19500 tons of rock in 15 barges configured in a 105 feet wide by 1000 feet long tow. It was the boat I was on when I joined TNET. Never really thought about it but I guess in a way it represents a way of life for me as this industry is the only real job I have had as an adult, and the security that being involved in the same industry for 23 years has brought me. Today its a different company, different boat, same industry.

Mine is just a 3D image of my best coin find.
I have made a few for other members on here and
I think they are a great way to show coins off.

I change mine all the time. I fence Olympic style sabre so had a pic I made of that for awhile. Then my dachshund who stares at me as I type on here. Now I have the constellation Orion because I am thinking of doing a mammoth ivory inlay of it in a antique cap and ball pistol this winter.
I always enjoy the avatars it should be what makes you happy .Wether it be a shiny car to a jumping bean bag or even maybe a dirty wheat Penney.

mine is just me... well... right now its jeff and I... but mostly its always just me! :angel12:

I think this one and the one of you and your sweet little angles are my very favorite! :icon_sunny:

Mine depicts the gold ring I found last year and my reaction caught on film. Since then I paid a visit to the barber shop and now have no hair :P

I just started MD'ing and haven't found anything avatar worthy yet, so I decided my Hayabusa in front of the local VFW would do just fine for now.......

Thanks for the many interesting reasons and meanings for your avatars...

Even a crotch rocket ricer Hayabusa (zuki) is as good as any avatar...it identifies who and what you are...

I dug mine in a ballfield just as it was getting dark. 10 inches down and looking
up at me , i had a good laugh. hh Mike

I chose my avatar because I practicemeditation and yoga...Or I'd go nuts.

Mine is me with the biggest halibut I've caught so far. Hope to get a bigger one someday.

Mine is one of my best Hammered coins which got thrown out!

I have it there to remind me to put my stuff away :'(

I like to post vintage photos - mostly depicting the mid 1800's - the period I would time travel to if that were possible, although the current one is just me (vintage-ized, of course)
