Any chance that mound was made by the folks who cleared the land to farm it?
I doubt a mound that size has gone undiscovered.. Just research mounds in your area
 
I know around here most of the old timers will call a mound a "little hill".
 
They were developing a subdivision about a mile down the road when they got into the graves. They stopped. It was a huge mound and it looked just like you are showing. They did the development around the mound. The federal govt bought the mound property. It is huge. Maybe a hundred yards by 50 to 75 yards wide. But it looks identical to your photo.
