Do you ever look for Morels when you are out hunting treasure?

even in my dreams!!! am ready!! i find them across the road. along with wild asparagus (?)

MMMMMMMMM.....morels and fresh asparagus....two of my spring favorites!

took me awhile to find this pic, but as you can imagine, these made a mighty fine dinner! Poke, asparagus & morels. I think we even had fresh bass that night. bet you can't find that at a restaurant!

A sure sign I to look for the lilacs to bloom thats when you know the giant yellows are up I have had my best luck in old apple orchards around May 8 or if you want the dark morels look in the white pines

Now that you have sent us all off in that direction, where do you go ?? I found my first ones by suiting up in camo & following the old lady next door. Of course I always took her some when she wasn't able to go anymore.

2 yrs ago we found some bigger than my hand! but they bulldozed the site last yr. am still gonna chk it just in case.
lilacs that's a good one to know. they have buds on them now. oh ya I'm ready to do a morel dance!!
