Harry Reid's father was a miner. Harry Reid has been one of the biggest supporters of mining in the Congress.

Claims "come open" at 12:02 am on September 1st of each year if the owners have not paid their fees or made their annual informational filings with the BLM.

The BLM this year is announcing that you can make your annual filings on September 2nd. They lie again as they have every year.

Congress set the date and time of September 1st at one minute after midnight as the deadline. The BLM regularly ignores the laws that govern their actions. Don't lose your claim, as thousands already have, following the BLM's advice. They are not your friends, they are incompetent, they lie and they can not be held legally responsible if you rely on their advice and lose your claim.
