Dog Sniffs Out Another Find - 2nd one this week!!!

I think I may just duct tape my wiener Dachshund to a broomstick and use him as a detector.
Earlier this week I walked the dog when no one else wanted to, and was rewarded with a $5.00 bill in the gutter in our neighborhood.
Today, the same thing happened, only a different find. I took another route through a church parking lot a few doors down from our house. I saw something silver & shiny, but I thought it would be a piece of foil. As I got closer, I noticed it was a piece of jewelry. It started life as a ring, but it must have gotten run over, because the ring part is now bent over 90 degrees. There's a boat load of small stones in it as you can see. It is stamped .925. Silver Baby!!!

Headed back out to walk the dog again. Now where did I put that duct tape? Hmmmm...........

He really has been the best little dog. Very smart and protective. He actually rings a bell by the back door when he want to go out.

Had a neighbor with a white mini-poodle mix who had mounted it on a broom stick and used it as a Q-tip

We actually bought him a manly hunting jacket dog coat to wear.

I'm going to have the ring looked at. It may be worth having it repaired. (I hope)

Nice eyeball find....I never find anything with my daughter's goldfish. Although I don't have to walk it when the weather is bad...I don't miss that from having a dog.

the little stones in that ring are called marquisites... ya got yourself a nice ring.. anything with marquisites in it usually is a bit pricey... nice find..make sure all of em are there that none fell out... they sparkle real pretty..

Thank you. I was wondering what those stones were. It really is a pretty ring, and very clean, so it may be newer?
I may see if I can get it repaired reasonably.
Now if I can just train the dog to sniff out GOLD!
