Detector(s) used
Tesoro Vaquero , Tesoro Silver uMax
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I think I may just duct tape my wiener Dachshund to a broomstick and use him as a detector. ;D
Earlier this week I walked the dog when no one else wanted to, and was rewarded with a $5.00 bill in the gutter in our neighborhood.
Today, the same thing happened, only a different find. I took another route through a church parking lot a few doors down from our house. I saw something silver & shiny, but I thought it would be a piece of foil. As I got closer, I noticed it was a piece of jewelry. It started life as a ring, but it must have gotten run over, because the ring part is now bent over 90 degrees. :'( There's a boat load of small stones in it as you can see. It is stamped .925. Silver Baby!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

BDoo,
Again, the mojo seems to be working Buddy. ;)

Headed back out to walk the dog again. Now where did I put that duct tape? Hmmmm...........

Pssssssssssst Doug,
any silver ring is a good ring says dirt ball booty..lol and if you do that to your dog..does that make him a corn dog on a stick?

Now Doug, the National Enquirer just sent these pics of your dog, and what? Is that your shaved legs in the background I see?

You've got a wiener, err winner, in that dog. HH
Bob

Thanks Bob.
He really has been the best little dog. Very smart and protective. He actually rings a bell by the back door when he want to go out.

Yes...a very smart dog finding treasures for you. Dano has a bloodhound that actually digs for silver and gold. 8)

My dog rings the bell when she wants to go outside, too....and has taught our new black Lab to ring the bell, too. It's a great trick and a necessity when we get to busy to pay attention to a dog just sitting by the door. :)

Great ring!!

Taught your Lab too. That is so cool. ;D

Hey Doug, is it OK if my dog Digsy (formerly nown as Dixie), gives your dog a phone call? They would have a lot in common. Just the other day Digsy was saying, Whine, rrrrruff, rrruff! She can understand English but can't quite speak it..... yet. I don't let her read the paper anymore. One day she read an article about a guy who abused his dog and ripped the paper to shreds. I've never seen her so upset. Anyway, maybe she can just send a PM if she can remember her password. M ;) nty

Sure Monty, have Dixie give my Sud's a call. He's had a RUFF day, so that would be nice. ;D

I loved this post! :) I have a 6 month year old Yorkie puppy. All he finds for me are mice. :o He also loves to dig. I'm hoping when I get my MD he will do all the digging. ;) He can ring the bell too. Trouble is he loves to ring it 24\7! He has the Christmas Spirit I guess. Tell, Suds he is a good dogie.

Be very careful about teaching a dog to dig treasure. My first dog Chevy watched me plant my coin garden. As soon as I turned my back he dug it up and ran away. Some say he has been seen in Vegas. Others say Hawaii but I may never know the truth. That thieving little sob......I sure miss him. Now Digsy, formerly known as Dixie is a different breed. She wants more out of life than some kibble and a friendly butt to sniff. She likes adventure, romance and intrigue, therefore she sticks with me, somewhat of a legend in my own mind and internationally known soldier of fortune and romancer of culled women. Oh, and BSer deluxe, teller of tall tales and false stories of dubious origins. Enough lest I am tempted to boast. Oh yes, and Digsy has dug treasure, real treasure on two occasions, clad coins to be sure but for an animal that doesn't know the difference that's not bad. Aaahh, here she comes now and ......dang, she bit me! Gotta go now, we have to talk. M :D nty

Monty,
You're not right. :D :D :D ;)
Ol' Sud's didn't do too well these last two trips out. All I got yesterday was a lousy dime. :'( Probably because I ran out of his favorite doggie treat. ;)
