Of course I won't get any pics till the state tags them,I just hope I'm down there that day.

Good bird pics. We don't get gold finches around here till early summer. I did head over to a place I see eagles, but no nest that I can find seems to not being used, unless they lay eggs later around here?

Some eagles do not breed every year. Bald eagles are capable of breeding annually from the age of four, but some of the adults, though paired, seem to choose not to breed. It might be an instinctive decision, based on the weather; availability of nesting sites, or food.
