Ebay Listing Accountability Thread

That is a nice one DieselRam! 10% off was great! I'm sure the manger wasn't happy. :laughing7:

I did pretty good at the yardsale yesterday. I sold quite a bit of junk. I started with about 15 tackle boxes (empty) and worked my way down to 5.

Way to go! I love getting rid of stuff! I hope you made a bunch of cash! I still have a bunch of stuff to get rid of as well to get my shop back! Lol

Yeah, I was glad to get rid of it. I mean, if you want to make some room in your shop, you could bring me the new lawn mower. :laughing7: This may not be possible, but I would like to get 50 new lots up this week. At least 40, we will see. The last big lot I bought had roughly 150 hardbaits in it. That should make roughly 30 lots, so we'll see how it goes.

Now that's some serious listing! Lol
I can't send you the mower, but I would love to send you the Ensign sailing skiff I have in there that's plugging up my other bay! I can only get small nibbles on it from craigslist.

PS. the mower sold quickly!

Glad to hear the other mower sold. I knew it would. It is some serious listing, we will see. So far so good. I've got 30 listings ready to go as far as pictures and everything, I just have to list them. I done 4 tonight. Hopefully I'll get in a groove tomorrow and finish up and get some more listings ready to go.

Well done, you've got me beat! Lol!
It's been a good day though as I sold the sailing skiff for full asking price on craigslist today!

That's great! Now you have to find something to put in the other bay. :laughing7:

Lol! Yeah, the wife is after me to get the Kubota tractor out from under the farmers porch! Lol!
But I sold one on eBay last night! Woo hoo!! Lol

Ok, question for everyone...
I have an antique inoperable gasoline torch. It is complete but could easily be fixed. I would like to list it on eBay and obviously will drain the fuel. But I am worried a buyer will try to use this item and get seriously hurt, killed or burn a building down. Maybe best to just keep it on the shelf for my own display? I don't want to be liable for someone's reckless actions after I sell it. Any thoughts?

Good job on the sale! I listed 10 this morning. As far as the torch, that is a good question. You could say that it is for display only, but that wouldn't stop some idiots. What kind of price would you get for it?

Hey DieselRam, I've got a set of frontend springs for a dodge truck I think. They are bent though. I know the old ones are not supposed to be bent and I can't imagine that these are supposed to be either. I just figured I would make sure before I threw them in the scrap pile. What do you think?

What year truck? Can you send me a picture?
Good job on the ten listings!

Yeah, I'll grab a picture sometime today. I'm not sure on the year, I'll look up the part number. I've also got some rear ones for it, but they aren't bent. I thought maybe the front ones were supposed to straighten up or something when you put the pressure on them, but I didn't know.

I assume these are factory springs and not aftermarket (lift kit). It may cost more to ship them then they are worth. But I would definitely research that. Maybe a better craigslist item than eBay?

Listed 11 yesterday. Sold 2 of those last night plus an older listing. Will probably list another 5-10 this afternoon. This is my last month at the antique mall & I'm trying to get some things up there that won't sell on ebay. That's cutting into how much time I have. Will be glad when that's over & done.

Sounds like you are doing well trdrhdr! DieselRam, that is what I am thinking. I don't know for sure, but I think they are factory. I've got the pics, but my phone won't work right now and put them on the laptop. In the meantime, I got 6 more listed.

Was the antique mall a waste of time?

Six more! Your killing it! Lol!
Hey you gotta cut it out, you're making me look bad!

:laughing7: Yeah, and the best part is, one of them already sold.

Here are the springs. I'm going to go look up the part numbers real quick. I'm not even 100% sure they are for a truck after all.

Update. I just looked up the part number and it looks like they are for a Chrysler 300 car.

For some reason I thought you had some leaf springs, and I was picturing a first generation Dodge! Lol if those fit in a large flat rate box, I would list them. Of course most people buy loaded struts for replacement so you might sit on those awhile. Some of the people who use metal as art might like them though...

Like this...

That's a good idea. I didn't even think about those people buying them. You are right about people buying loaded struts. That would be a problem.
