Smokey I have a hard believing the Equinox couldn't find small to mid range targets. I know you have an awesome relic detector in the XP but the Equinox does not miss copper even at 12". I have dug lead sinkers and split shot. I would be willing to guess your buddies with the Equinox are still in the learning curve. Heck I have found earbud wires at 4". In heads up comparisons the XP is a better relic detector but not by much. Actually there isn't much difference in any detector over $500. Each has their niche and perform better in one area than other detectors.
I am not knocking your post it's hard for me to believe even with a small coil you find 60 targets and they find none or a few.

I have seen that happen. You are right about not much difference between machines after you get to the $500 mark. The Nox is a GOOD MACHINE overall.
