exal ll sent in to minelab

Sent in my Exal ll on 6/6 insured and got a call from them on 6/9 saying they got it. Repairs,under warranty I hope, to take 30-40 days. recently checked Mastercard about their extended warranty policy and it looks like they will extend the original warranty 1 year with the proper paperwork. I still dont understand why the battery cable failed to operate properly after only about 9 months of use. Its a great machine, but too many fragile parts for the cost of the machine.

I posted after this post and for some reason it appears below this post. I got the Excal back and its working fine. I modified my Anderson shaft to make it a little longer and it does take the weight off.

Since Minelab changed hands the quality went down with the purchasing of parts from the lowest bidder. My Excal 1000 is still going strong after about seven years. "Knock on Wood."
