Found a new site but unfortunately it should have been better than it was. Then moved on and seen fresh dig holes at our next location. Dug a bit, but wasn't great so moved to the worst fields of the day. Still need my keeper relic to end the year! I don't count iron. ;D

yeah about that. Not even sure what it is.

The piece that MM is talking about looks like it came off of a joystick. lol. I'm digging that 1841 "half penny" though. Interesting stuff Iron Patch; hope the next site meets your expectations a bit more.

Good to see you found a few coppers, the token is pretty neat. I haven't seen one of those dug around my way.......yet. Sorry to hear you came across some other dug holes, welcome to my world!. I'd say that about 75 to 80% of the fields I walk have either been hit recently, or in the past year. Its very frustrating, but thats the way it goes around here. Good luck to you on your next hunt, i've got a feeling that you'll pull up a great year ending relic.........like a beltplate!.

The dig holes weren't a big deal because it was a field we just decided on that day. Much different than waiting with high hopes. It really didn't seem like they dug anymore than we did, and we knew it was their first trip there because of where they parked. (2 fields and they had parked in the one there was nothing)

I think I have one more good shot at my relic keeper, then it's near time to change gears for Winter and do things like getting my blower tuned up... ah the fun we have.

Well it's about time! :occasion14:

Ironhorse will be picking the hunt day by the end of today. Get your boots ready! :thumbsup:

We've found quite a few of those halfpennies, both 1830 & 1841, but has been a while though. Surprised you guys don't dig em.

Good to see Hans on the site! I've got a couple of those 1841 half pennys' but not in as nice vcondition. Found them all in DirtyVille though...never seen one dug over here.

Nice 1841. Looks like you folks will get another chance or two. I've been too busy to hunt lately, but that's all about to change, and I intend to take December in a Whirlwind. ;D

So that's why I haven't dug one in 3 years. ::)

It will be my best by far when I'm done cleaning. Won't even look like a dug token.

Patch Good Hunt Again,I like the Half Penny! :headbang: :thumbsup: I also like the quarter pounder too. :headbang: :icon_thumleft: :icon_thumright: Most of the time I like cheese on my 1/4 pounder but one like this would be Great. :laughing9: ;D :laughing7: :hello: Something I've not yet found is a connon ball.Although there have been many found around here.I do know where one is my dad found as a young man,and was caught beating on it and was told to get rid of it.He showed me were he threw it but I never gone after it to try and find it.From what he describes to me as best he remembers is it was a cylindrical shaped one more late 1800's I guess from the sounds of it. :thumbsup:

hey that half penny is cool 1841, wow..... keep it up.....HH

I bet we can assume that you are a Colonial hunter as well, Hans. :headbang: Am I correct?

Welcome aboard, Hans.

This recent Canadian invasion is getting me nervous. :laughing9:

Hans, myself, & Ironhorse go back about 9 years. On Saturday the three of us and the Patriot will be out to dig for the day. (on their turf) :thumbsup:
