I had found some early keys and figured the lock was around here somewhere . Well I finally got it. I'm so excited to clean it up . Lots of briars to the head but it was worth it

Based on that key hole the key should be very distinct in shape.

So the mechanisms might start working and be freed up after electrolysis?
Yes, Electrolysis will clean both the inside and outside.
Electrolysis removes any foreign matter on the piece your cleaning first.
But then if left in to way to long (like overnight) it will start eating the base metal.

All you need to build one is ...
(1) Plastic Coffee can
(2) An old Telephone / Appliance Wall Charger (split the wires - (put a Alligator Clip on each one)
(3) Alligator Clips
(4) And a few clean Large Steel Washers.
(5) Two Clothes Pins (clip to top of the Coffee can - holds the target and ground washer in place.
Fill the Coffee Can around 2/3 of the way full with tap water
Add several Table Spoons of Salt or Lemon Juice (helps with Conductivity)
You want to see the target your cleaning bubbling like a Alka Seltzer
If the ground washer in bubbling - just switch the leads around.
