Finds from the 1798 house.

Hello, I am the 13 year old kid that Metal detects at my grandparents civil war house. Also really close to where I live is a house from a revolutionary war veteran made in 1798. I've metal detected there last weak and have found a railroad spike. This time I had way way more time there. I found a 1960's kids cap gun. Not from colonial era but still a interesting find. I also found a washer type thing and a square nail that looks to be from colonial times. Thanks! i am also putting them in white vinegar to get the rust off.

The square nail is an early version of nails. Just take your time with the yard, go slow as your digging old and that's what counts when looking for the keepers of the colonial history.
