idrove to the site and it was close to zero degrees wind chill

took me a few minutes to walk backwards into the wind to keep my eyes from freezing
got to the big midden and spent a few minutes and.........i hope, ihope, ihope,hope, that this awl is not a heartbreaker and........lo and behold?

it's a good one

it is a little amazing.....and also dumb of me to walk way out a block and half through snow just to get to that midden with only a t-shirt and a hooded sweatshirt on...that wind bites and makes our eyes water

anyway i dot to do my first legitimate nature dance of the year and it was the first time i used my new mahogany stick

i took some dirt images also which i can post if you wanna do a virtual hunt
