First and only coin from new field and its a Cob

Still working the same general area were Ive found buttons, a 1794 Bale Seal and early religious medallion. Not a site that had much activity as I have found zero coppers but someone did drop this sweet little half real cob. Its my first half real cob not from Mexico City and cob #7 fty

Great find I don't think that there is even one cob in this town founded 1826 ish. all the old stuff you've found would be enough for me to keep searching. For me ists almost as fun just the thought of what you might find as what you do!! well done

7 cobs in a year!!! My friend just found one and I told him that's a find of a lifetime! I'm still new to detecting as you can see. I found a 1/2 real (from what I have read I think it's hammered but its not a cob) early on and have not found Spanish silver since.... but I know it's out there. Cobs are found up here but seem to be less common. Congrats a stellar find!

Thanks. Hard to believe but I have better luck finding cobs vs Pistareens and other milled Spanish silver. Maybe one day I can get my coil over something bigger than a half or one real though
