This old house site had been hunted I was told so I wanted to see what I could pull out of there. I got a couple of flat buttons and a suspender buckle, and on my way out I found this. It started raining so I had to pack up and go but I'll definitely be back.

Wow, terrific find! I'm still hoping for one of those. Well done.

Wow .....never found one. Great find:icon_thumleft:

Thanks guys yeah I was pretty jazzed about it. I posted a couple weeks ago Where I was diggin the Privy dirt where I found that bust half dime. I'm not sure but are half dimes more common than dimes?

That is so nice and yeah, I'd be going back too!!

It seems more dimes are posted than halfdimes, but I think that's because they're bigger and will hit harder on a detector. In general, I would say they were carried about the same though, don't think either one is necessarily more common than the other.

Thanks for the info umrgolf

Very nice find. Would love to see that in the dirt. Hit that area hard.

That is a great find--but the fantastic photos make it even more special. Those are photos that any treasure magazine would love to print, and you'll remember that first moment you saw that coin in the dirt, because it is immortalized in a great photo that is making my pulse rate go up! Great stuff.

Cheers,

Buck
