I have been thinking of upgrading my Ace this summer and decided, with a birthday this week, it was time. So today I met up with Koleen and with my Minelab Explorer in hand, we headed out to the site. I geared up and soon got a nice flutey signal. I dug and out came a .44 Merc. That was easy! The next three signals I dug were all junk, to keep me humble. I hunted for about 3 hours and found 3 zincolns, 4 wheats (two '46s, '42, and '44), and the Merc. Pinpointing went pretty well and the extra weight didn't faze me today. There is still a bit of hay stubble that catches on your coil making swinging tough. I hope to hit it again tomorrow. It was a beautiful day to be out.
