Yeah, that is a nice one for sure!

Nice one Painter. Eva's are hard to find. That's a great example. Congrats.

Hate I missed that hunt

Nice end of the year point boss

Thanks everyone !!!

Wow. It's been so long since I picked a nice one up, and that one is REALLY nice! Congrats

where you been? I see it is that brown stuff again that you always find...really cool...didn't you say the you have found the same material spanning thousands of years of styles? I think you said you also know (specifically) where it is mined form?

What flaking it has. Beautiful ! Merry Christmas.

Absolutely stunning! So if you don't mind me asking, how in the heck do you train your eye to find those treasures? And where are the best places to look (farmed fields, streams, rivers, etc)? I'm from MT originally and did find a couple random points as a kid, but now in VA I mostly relic hunt for Civil War items. Thanks in advance for any info on how to begin finding some incredible Indian relics!

Unclemac - It's called Dover chert and it was used continuously from Paleo through Mississippian times.

Any place near fresh water is great and your eyes will tune in just takes time but once you find the first one you will start seeing more
