this new wreck washed up on the beach after all the storms we had, the hull is ok so if I can find a way to put my diesel in it I'm all set, motorsailor to go. the mini sword is a strange piece by the sinkers. probably some sort of fastener.2 sinkers and a blob of lead with a few small stones stuck in it. 1 erie dearie fishing lure,5 ships spikes,2 screw drivers,1 pair of pliers(they were so encrusted I doubted they would clean up)but did,a small pintle,a brass hinge thingy, and a large heavy iron thing that looks like a leaf spring . felt good to get out and dig so I'm happy.

happy hunting to all.

Cool, Chartreuse/White Erie Dire, Put a crawler on that thing and you could probably still catch a nice "eye".

Glad to see the weather changing, maybe the next boat you find will be a little bigger...lol
I got out there myself tonight for about a half hr...new spot I was checking on. Old spoon, misc metal/iron and a nice old marble(surface find of coarse).

I hear you guys on the weather, I have been living on aleve. there are 3 ships lost here and several boats too. I am looking forward to this year. my old coil had some sort of problem and depth was not where it should be. it was also hard to keep it tuned, but today was great, deeeeeeeeep, and finding the small targets too. not pictured is about 1.5 lbs of barbed wire and nails.

best of luck in 2011

Haha, Nice little boat :D
Wishing you fair weather to come :icon_sunny:
