I have been using and learning on the etrac for a few weeks and must admit I had started to get a little discouraged. But all of that changed today. A friend found out that I enjoyed detecting and asked if I could come by to look for a ring which belonged to his father. It was lost by a sister over 40 years ago in the backyard. I told him I would give it a try. To make a long story short, after finding a few pennies and my first silver Rosie, I pulled this little beauty out. (see attached pic) Next week is the father's 96th birthday. I cannot tell you how happy it made me to see him stare at that ring like a long lost friend. The funniest comment was, "I remembered it being bigger than that." As for me, I'm officially hooked.
