Went back to the STILL PRODUCING HILL SITE Today and found an 1856 flying eagle cent

So I looked at the site he posted how about a 57 or 58 so they only made a few years!!!! HOLY **** I JUST LOOKED ON EBAY

Any flying eagle is a great find its my favorite cent and the first Penny I ever dug was a flying even before I dug a zincon I dug a flying and I didn't know what it was. Now it's my favorite thing to find for sure

Dude I swear to god I can make out the 5 and the 6 but it's so bad of shape I can't make out the 1 or 8

Well, if you definitely see a 6 then the 1 and 8 don't really matter to me. You are going to need to get a good close up picture of this so we can all verify with you. I think that most would agree that this would be in the running for find of the year.

Thanks man I'm gonna get pics of this date with my mothers camera I bet I have taken 200 pics with my phone every which way but its so worn u can't make it out on the pic

When you try it with the better camera, try getting the picture with coin more on an edge. Try for the light to highlight, instead of a straight on pic.

Haha you can say that again but what a great club to be in! I hope it is a 56 but the chances are very very very slim that being said crazy stuff has happened before

IF you have found an 1856 Flying Eagle Cent....you deserve to be on top of the Banner List. DO NOT Clean it whatever you do. Just take your Cannon camera and put it in Super Macro and use the lighting to catch the date on the coin. Don't put anything on the coin to try to make the date pop out there...Finding an 1856 Flying Eagle cent Metal detecting is like winning the LOTTO! Can't wait to see your picture....
