Fooled! **Updated with pics**

I stopped by the bank to drop off my last dime box (2 Rosies.) I asked the teller if she had any halves and she said a man just dropped off about 25 halves. I said I would take them and she proceed to take them out. At first sight they were glowing and I thought they might be proofs. After getting my hands on them I soon discovered they were silver plated clad...every last one. Turns out the man who turned them in told the teller his grandfather had bought them on ebay. Sounds like he may have been scammed.

Educate yourself regarding collectible coins to avoid being scammed.
When at the teller line, always buy 'em all.

I should not have used the word scammed. After seeing all the plated halves fir sale on eBay it is clear most are fully explained. It looks like these were part of one of the World Reserve Monetary collections sold in sets of gold, platinum and silver plated.
