Had a really good day with my hunting partner and fellow Tnetter, Repo Archeologist. My trip was 195 miles from my house to Repo's house, then Angola, N.Y. and back again. We picked up 250 pounds of Amish grown and mixed, special feed for my White Homers.
Then it was back on the road to try to get permission at one or two of the old houses that we passed on the way up. We did a little better than that. We got 4 permissions and hit an old school. Expo ended up with 2 Silvers and a bunch of clad.
At one of the permissions,, I was followed around by the owner's 5 year old daughter, and she got all of my clad plus an old plated spoon.
All in all a great day. Tomorrow the birds will really be happy when I treat them to this new feed.
Here is a pictur of a 1941 Mercury Dime, and a Sterling Silver Complimentary Mason Medallion.

Nice silver finds, and nice birds and bird condos. They've got pretty good digs!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

That Masonic medal is AWESOME!

4 permissions? Thats a lot of ground to cover in one day. Do you go back to those?

Love the birds! I used to raise Pensom rollers back in the 60's and 70's. I want to get some chickens now but my wife says NO WAY! I'm birdless. Gary

Yes, We were invited back to the last house we searched. It was once owned by a veterinarian and he must have used the hill in the backyard as a dump. Lots of old medicinal bottles, and dog tags. We may go back with a sifter.

Nice recoveries, ATW. You must be busy with other things. Haven't seen many posts from you lately.

love the medal
