i dont think this is fossil ,but rather a mineral inclusion, the type of rock mostly used for making points or tools is a flint like rock known as chert ,there are many ,many variances in this rock but what is common is how it is formed ,which is morphed limestone ,it undergoes extreme heat and pressure to form this microcrystaline ,(new rock) which this process destroys most fossil that would have been present in its sedimentary form.but it is very cool point ,beautiful material though .hh
It is a fossil in chert..they are common.
Chert is formed by millions of tiny silica skeletons of dead sea organisms that gathered on ancient sea floors.
That silica replaces the limestone over time and you get chert/microcrystaline quartzite.
That looks like a section of a crinoid.
