Just wanted to share , this point I found a while back with some type of fossil, or is it? Its fluted at the tip, its ears got broke when my wife, washed it, it was in my pocket, my fault, lol. It looked like a wolf, when the ears were there, the winking wolf. IMAG0824.jpgIMAG0825_1.jpgIMAG0827_1.jpg

Is it made from limestone? I like the black flint points from the area. You have found some nice looking artifacts, rock

Thanks rock,

The point has a broken tip.
That does look like a small fossil inclusion in the flint.

The flute at the tip was created by the impact that broke the tip, driving a flake downward at impact. An impact fracture in other words. Nice find.

Nice finds. The washer and dryer is not kind to artifacts ! haha Nice looking collection. Looks smilier to some stuff I find in North Ala. Types that is.

Thanks,
I found this other point with some type of fossil, IMAG0838_1.jpgIMAG0841.jpgthanks Justintime

Nice, that's cool, how they incorporated fossils, colors, using rock canvases, art, for sure. Thanks Justintime

I do think they saw it as a canvas and bet they were proud of their work much as we are today.

They do like the fossils I have a hoe or Celt made completely out of fossil

I would love to see it Paint, thanks Justintime

The hoe my friends

Nice, is that a hatchet next to the hoe,. Does the fossil hoe, seem to be really hard, or does the fossils make it seem more brittle. Thanks Justintime...

Well I don't know what area you are in but these type of fossils are pretty darn hard the hatchet is a harder fossil than the hoe but both are tough harder than limestone but not as hard as granite

Super cool x7. Good eye on that one.I might of overlooked it. It's a work of art.
