I was trying to find a silver coin because I've been out about 7 times here in Wisconsin and have not had luck with the silver. Well, I got a silver 1951 washington and felt happy. Then towards the end of the hunt I got a 15.. 16 on the nox and dug down about 9" and started pulling out wire and nails, then saw a penny laying out of the hole in the dirt. When I wiped it off, i thought it was a token or something, then realized what it was and it looked almost new! I finally found a flying eagle cent after 52 years of Treasure hunting and saved history!!160651612_10219563438345337_3274619047135248886_n.webp

I know I already responded...
But I can’t give another like, so....
Fantastic find! Congrats!

As said that flyn eagle is in great shape!! Congrats..

I have only found five, and they are all badly worn or corroded and reddish due to the nickel in the composition. Yours is by far the nicest one I have ever seen that was dug.
