I hit my hotspot again today and low and behold I found my first Block C button. The backmark is Courtney & Tennant. The shank is strong and tilted just a hair to the side. Apparently it was made in Charleston, SC. In Albert's Button book it has an RV of 75....not too bad. Very exciting day! Goldsboro, NC

Button is in great shape. Good find.

Love it. Sweet find..

That is a great looking button!! Couldn't wait to respond to this post but I had to go wipe the drool off face. I would love to find one of those and yours is in great shape. Congrats!

Now THAT'S the kind of "Today's Finds" I go on Tnet to see! What a sweet one!

Perfect dug button!

Cool find Gill!

Thanks for all the nice comments. I have been hunting here 26 years and never found a Block button. Keep at it, perseverance pays. I have also understood my Fisher F-75 LTD as never before. The spot I have been hunting is heavy in small iron. I started to heed some of the advice of the experienced users on the forums and now I run 0 disc, sens at 75 at this spot and 2f. The detector grunts for all iron. I just cherry pick all of the good signals from the grunts and it is cherry pick heaven. The F-75 is incredibly sensitive. I have not even delved into the Boost Process at this location, just stay Default Process.

Very nice condition on the button. Good to see treasure coming out of the Carolina soil. Best of luck to you!

Very nice dug button! Looks about perfect

Very very nice button! To me digging old military relics is as good as it gets! Big congrats!

Great Button! I live in Rockingham NC. I have not found a "Block C" yet...but hopefully I will soon. I found my first SC Palmetto button last year....two in fact! Have a good one.

Very nice find!! I dug one last year in a corn field here in SW Georgia. I assume someone wore it home and then lost it. Always nice to see something confederate come up.
