Found about 8" down in an old Ghost Town. Appears to have had a picture on top???
One of the four metal loops are missing. Made out of iron with considerable decoration
over the entire item. Any ideas as to what it is?

Alloy is copper, just a guess, but the green is a clue. Ornate decorative piece for horses :icon_scratch:

might be a pipe stand,or for holding pool cues.

Possibly some sort of early decorative candle holder??

Well all the answers are appreciated. Thanks much.
It does seem to be much much heavier than copper, although the greenish color does suggest that.
Could have been used in the barn near the horses to hang stuff on???
I did think about a candle holder, but it just seems to have been too close to those old wooden walls
in a cabin???
Maybe some other suggestions will come along. Again thanks.

Dang...I'll bet your detector was going bananas passing over that thing! Nice find!!!! :icon_thumleft:

Whatever it is, it's a cool find. Congratulations.

All the best,

Lanny
