Found with my pro yesterday ..gold?

I invested in my own gold and silver test kit, was only $14 on ebay. I also invested in a strong magnet (for the nails and stuff) and an eyelope (getting old sucks). You might want to get a test set, so you don't have to pay for testing.

Congratulations on your find! I've seen lots of caps (though not gold, my mom was a Dental Hygienist) and unless it's been mangled, that's not a cap.

Yes I want to go back tommorow morning and see if there is anything left behind that I missed,
The jewler said that he can make a ring out of this stuff or melt it down into one big nugget and put it on my necklace

That's a good idea too' iam just happy that I found it all, and I have had my tek 4000 in that same tot lot twice and all I found were coins , never ran across this gold
, and it must have been there at that time cause those rubber chips and wood chips have been there since Beggining of summer

I think it could be dental gold that was not thought about when it was disposed of. By that I mean they must pay for disposal of the spit etc. that comes from dental offices, and maybe some of that made its way into your hunt area? I know of people who work on those suction things at dentist offices, and always want to sift through the liquid for gold. A messy and risky job for sure!

Ok I hope this last peice I found this morning may shed some light on what this was , , kinda looks like a some sort of dental implant cause the end part has a hole in it maybe to screw a tooth too! With that last part i found total weight is 20.7 grams , not to shabby for a tot lot , would live to know exactly what happened and what these pieces were from? Are they dental gold? A big gold class ring? Some looks like would be like a dental imprint on some and an anchor in the jaw cause of the hole in it? Need a dentist to chime in , or ?also these pieces were all not shiny like photos they had that dye they used on the tire chips and wood chips so just by eye you could never tell, good thing I took first pieces home and brushed them up abit!
