While driving home from the shops yesterday came upon a garage sale. went in and had a look around and noticed a tin with some coins in picked it up and asked how much, he said is a £1 ok(i think thats about two dollars). when i arrived home and had a look this was one them. Was that a good buy?

That is a Great Garage sale find. I'm never that lucky. haha. I did find a 1899 silver Morgan dollar, early this year. In fact it was Jan. 11, 2007. What a great way to start the year off.

I'm including a picture of the one I found this year, in the cold, cold NW Ohio!

I wouldv'e guessed the 82 also but just for the heck of it,what does the counterfeit weigh? Or is it not yours?

the real Morgan on the left dated 1898 weighs 26.2 grams

the fake Morgan dated 1882 on the right weighs 19.8 grams
