Garrett has announced the New Propointer AT

Priced very aggressively! This should shakeup the pinpointer market a bit!

I just got a Makro. Good to see another waterproof pointer out. Can't wait to hear feedback on it. hh gl -Joe

Looks like a great piece of gear! Great excuse to purchase so I have a spare on hand (my original pinpointer will be my backup)

I called Garrett today to get an idea of when they will be sending out and they said by end of month. So I will have to wait a few weeks

I have mine on pre-order with Bart at big boys hobbies :-)

I ordered mine from Wayne and Doug at Metaldetectingstuff last week so when they get them I should be one of first ones they send to. I actually sent them a message on Christmas Eve lol but paid for it last week so I knew I would get it when they get them. Can't wait.

I will get one from Keith at Fort Bedford Metal Detectors as part of my retirement package.

Isn't it absolutely amazing that the old one cost $135 up until AD 2015 and wasn't even water resistant?

I will continue to single handedly improve the metal detecting world, one detector at a time.

Latest word from Garrett is that they expect to ship in February. We are taking preorders and will ship out with free usps priority mail.

Ah, was SO excited... but they lost me after I read "10ft" :censored:

I can take my SeaHunter down 100ft plus, so it cant be THAT hard to make something waterproof can it? ???

That said, it will sure be good to be able wash off and treat it rough for the land / sand hunts  Still, cant help thinking its a slightly wasted opportunity? even the Hookah crew will probably give it a miss?

I will purchase the new pin pointer in a few weeks, if I can find it.

While I understand your disappoint with the max depth, I think that 10 feet is probably more than sufficient for most users. Anything much deeper would make it more suitable for SCUBA outfitted divers :)
